Trip to the US / Prayer for Josh’s surgery

Dear Friends,

We are in the midst of preparing for our U.S. trip and are getting things checked off our list. Always a good feeling!

Here are some important things of which to take note.

Josh’s knee surgery has been rescheduled for next Tuesday morning, July 3. This is right in the middle of finals week so please pray that he will be able to take some of his exams early and that he will do well despite this major disruption. Please pray that he will recover quickly and will feel well after the surgery.

We depart for the U.S. on Thursday, July 12 after attending R.V.A. graduation. We have close relationships with a few of this year’s graduates, some of whom have been like family to us. We will fly via Germany and arrive in Orlando, Florida on Friday evening. We will be met by my mom and uncle at the airport. We will be in Florida for a week and half to two before heading up to PA. We have already scheduled 4 college visits for Josh at various kinds of colleges. Please pray that these visits give us and Josh insight into what kind of school Josh might like to attend when he graduates. He doesn’t know exactly what he wants to study at this point but he has time to make those decisions later.

We will be in Hershey, PA from August 1-14. Please let us know if you want to get together during that time. We will be living in the same house in which we have lived during our past home assignments. We will send contact information when we have it!

PLEASE TAKE NOTE IF YOU LIVE IN CENTRAl PENNSYLVANIA…We will be having a luncheon and open house at the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey on Sunday, August 5th. It will be from 12:15 P.M. until about 4:00 P.M. Please feel free to come for lunch or just pop in for a visit later in the day. If you think you might be able to attend the luncheon, please RSVP so we can give the planners an idea of how many people for which to plan. Thank you!

We look forward to seeing many of you soon. Thank you for your prayers on our behalf. You are very much appreciated.

Blessings,

Melissa for all of us
