Praying for America

Dear Friends and Family,

Melissa here. We don’t usually follow current events too closely but we have been following the news regarding Hurricane Sandy. We just want you to know that we have been praying for those on the east coast of the States who have been affected by it. Hard to know how to react or what to think but we know God has his hand in all these things for His glory and purposes.

Also, we are praying for the U.S. with regards to elections this Tuesday.

The new wards and the Sunday School building (not yet finished but progressing) were dedicated on Sunday. We had some our church leadership from the national level here for the occasion. What a blessed event and day for thanksgiving to our Lord!

It rained yesterday! The first day of rain since mid-May last year. Usually the rains start about a month from now but we have been anticipating and early rainy season due to many signs in nature. Another reason to celebrate! Rachel and Drew were pretty excited and immediately put on rain coats and boots (wellies) and ran out to play. I delayed to start of school so they could enjoy the rain and mud.

Josh is doing GREAT at R.V.A. We miss him and are looking forward to his coming home at the end of this month. Jon’s mom and sister will also be visiting us so we are very excited about that. Right now Josh is working on a pine wood derby car. The race is in a couple of weeks. We wish we could be there but my mom will fill in for us. For those of you who know her, please pray for her as she makes decisions regarding retirement from AIM within the next several months.

As always, THANK YOU for all your love and prayers and support. May the Lord bless you and keep you until we meet again.

In Him,
Melissa for all
