In the Wilderness

This past weekend I (Jon) had the privilege of giving some lectures at
a Wilderness Medicine Conference near York, PA. Not only did we get to
learn some neat stuff from various teachers (like how to start a fire
without matches), we got to experience some wilderness by camping in the
woods for the weekend during the conference! Josh and Drew went along
with me and had a great time tramping around the woods, hunting bugs,
jumping on a trampoline, rappelling, riding an ATV, and watching movies
on a big screen in a tent. We all had a blast, despite the rain on
Friday and Saturday (Sunday was gorgeous).
I really enjoyed rubbing shoulders with fellow docs and re-connecting
with some friends from that area. It was also great interacting with a
some residents and medical students, and being a part of encouraging and
inspiring them. – Jon
